Just in case you hadn't already heard, Alex Steyermark is making a new anime film based on Idoru by William Gibson (One of my favourite books)

I'm also a huge star trek fan and from the same site this news has just came in!

J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias, MI3) to Direct Star Trek XI!!!

J.J. Abrams is a great choice for this. I'm a bit concerned about the whole "when we were kids" angle, but I suppose they've already used up their "new series" approach.
