I sometimes fight in real life against cops, when i join demonstrations against new rules from the goverment.
I am very bad at close combat fighting, so, any hints for fighting techniques ?
Some boys from LA told me, do not waste your time learning combat, just buy some AK47 or Uzi, when those corp pigs, or police bastards attack you, just shoot them... Remember Rodney King, LA 1992.
Anyhow, i am not violent, just wanting to defend my selve. _________________ Greetings from Stormtrooper of Death, member of the High Tech Team, Duty of Thelema, Knights of the Holy Grail,Eindhoven Punk Squad (EPS) , DV8, the Dream Team and the Corporation

Why not learn an unarmed martial art at a local dojo? It helps when you have to defend yourself AND has many other benefits.
That should cover the close combat part.
From a legal standpoint though, there is much you can do to avoid police brutality while at a demonstration.
This leaflet Is written by the collective opposed to police brutality. It raises a few interesting points and gives tips for almost anything related to police opposition. Keep in mind that the laws discussed are those from Quebec though, so there might be a few differences with your country/state. It would be interesting to see what are those differences, though, to gauge which country has the more strict/forgiving police system.

You want a real defense? A camera with a live feed ready to be uploaded to YouTube.
Being a guy in uniform myself I'd rather get shot by a digital camera than an UZI, thanks.

Kovacs is right. A recording device is your only effective weapon against cops. Do not lay hands on a cop unless you are on camera being brutalized. _________________

Inform the cops that you have a force field and their punches will not get through.
Though I think you are full of BS anyways. If you were in fact involved in a riot and came to blows with the cops, you wouldn't ask what gun to buy, you'd be asking who's a good attorney? Since you'd be charged with Assaulting an officer.

Can we strive towards a flame-free forum please, aren't we supposed to be the little more sophisticated individuals of the worlds population. Therefore, kom, could you please express yourself in a slightly different manner than flaming. You could for example ask Stormy to, before he starts a new thread, think if he could post what he want to say in an already existing thread or create a "Stomys philosophy corner" thread where he could write down his hearts content and go nuts.
Constructive criticism my dear cyberpunks.

Welcome to CPR forums. If you wish to flame, you must do so in this manner.
Please wait till CPR agents arrive at your home to provide the gasoline and ignition to preform your self-immolation.

no one's the boss, though you owe it to yourself as a human being to remain civil. After you write a reply look at it and ask yourself whether you're just flaming. Most of the time you can catch yourself. Usually the first sign of flaming is that you're writing a personal attack, especially through a lame and overused characterization.
